This house sit is for Nov through April in San Jose Cabo Mexico.
I have 2 properties in San Jose del Cabo, each needing sitters for approximately 6 months. Both properties: non smokers only please; no drugs, pets or children. The first property: 2 couples required to live in my home, Casa Calle, for 6 months. It has 4 separate townhouses, across the highway from the Sea of Cortez, a 10 min walk to the beach, 30 min walk to "Old Town" San Jose and 15 min walk to the Mega store and shopping. It is 20 miles to Cabo San Lucas which has many restaurants, major shopping and water activities. Each couple would have their own separate living quarters. Shared responsibilities would include keeping the house clean, minor maintenance issues that may occur; watering and maintaining the gardens; cleaning and taking care of the pool; keeping utility payments current and running miscellaneous errands for the owner, as needed. Sitters also would be responsible for preparing the property in the event of a hurricane and/or cleaning up after, should one occur. Hurricane season is July through October but chances are most likely in August or September. San Jose is hot and humid in the summer but the house has A/C and fans. Sitters would be required to pay the electric bill for their own unit; cost depends greatly on A/C usage. There is some flexibility with start/end dates so if you are interested in trying life on the Baja for 6 months, please contact me for further details and pictures. The second property: Couple required to oversee a small inn with a bar and restaurant on the beach-side of the Sea of Cortez in San Jose del Cabo. Oasis Baja is a 5-unit vacation rental with small restaurant. Location is steps away from the beach, a 20 min walk to "Old Town" San Jose and 5 min walk to the Mega store and shopping. It's 20 miles to Cabo San Lucas which has many restaurants, major shopping and water activities. Couple would have their own condo on the premises. Responsibilities include keeping condos clean and taking care of any minor maintenance issues that may occur; over seeing restaurant; watering and maintaining plants and grounds; maintaining pool; keeping bills current and running miscellaneous errands for the owner as needed. Sitters also responsible for preparing the property in the event of a hurricane and/or cleaning up after, should one occur. Hurricane season is July to October but chances are most likely in August or September. Restaurant staff helps with many of the above duties; sitters would coordinate and help as needed. Summer is a very slow time for rentals and restaurant may possibly close part of the summer. Owner will train for one month before leaving for 5 months, returning October.
