We both come from professional backgrounds. Alice was a director at the world's largest cruise company and Clive was Head of Development and Training for a leading UK bank.
Since 2010 we have been in the fortunate position of being full time house sitters and pet carers.
House sitting is a lifestyle choice for us and we truly love what we do! This, we like to think, is reflected in the OUTSTANDING REFERENCES we have received from ALL of our previous house sits. This lifestyle choice allows us to combine our love of travel with a music-themed travel blog that we are producing.
House sitting offers offers the perfect base for us to edit our videos and to research the next phase via the internet. The advantage to you is that your property and animals are rarely left unattended whist in our care.
We are a British couple who have travelled extensively around North America where we have had several fabulous assignments. Our house sitting and pet caring experience stretches across 3 continents where we have also enjoyed assignments in the UK, Canada, Spain, Portugal and Australia
For that extra peace of mind we can both provide police clearance certificates.
With our own much-loved family house rented out while we travel, we really understand the concerns of anyone who has to leave their home for any period of time. As house sitters we have been entrusted with many home styles ranging from city centre apartments and suburban family homes, through to rural and multi-acreage properties.
Our pet-caring experience is extensive and varied, including the traditional pets:
- dogs from random bred family pets to pedigree champions in the show ring
- pure bred and moggy cats
- tropical and pond fish
- domestic birds and gerbils.
We have also looked after chickens, ducks and sheep. Some of the more exotic pets we have cared for include a Bearded Dragon Lizard, Spiny Leaf Insects and an Axolotl (Mexican walking fish).
If you have pets, be assured that we truly appreciate the security they feel with a familiar schedule/exercise/playtime routine and promise you that your customs will be adhered to.
However, we know from experience though that it's not just animals who can suffer from separation anxiety! To remedy this we will send regular video updates of your pets emailed to you with a confidential YouTube link. We're also very happy to Skype/FaceTime at any time during the sit. Comments from previous house sits confirm that our videos have quickly put their minds at ease.
