Los Angeles Adds a Starry Touch to House Sitting
Mention Los Angeles and Hollywood immediately comes to mind. This gives house sitting in the city a decidedly glitzy overtone. Although it is home to many celebrities, L.A. is more than just show business. It has the second largest population of any city in the USA and the largest in the state of California. The third largest economic center in the world after Greater Tokyo and New York City, Los Angeles is a major influence in world trade, business, culture, media, fashion, science, sports, technology, education and entertainment.
There are seven Fortune 500 companies with headquarters in Los Angeles, among them Northrop Grumman, CBRE Group, Occidental Petroleum and AECOM. The chances of working as a house sitter for a celebrity entertainer or businessman are probably higher in Los Angeles than in any other city around the world. According to a report by the USC Stevens Institute for Innovation, more artists, writers, filmmakers, actors, dancers and musicians live in Los Angeles than any other city in the history of the world.
