A brief snapshot on me... my name is Lauren Jamison, I'm a Texas native and have lived in the South Bay area of LA for almost 5 years since moving from Dallas. I now reside in downtown El Segundo.
I have a BA degree from SMU (Southern Methodist University) in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Cinema Television. Since graduating from college I landed in the world of recruitment and performed job placements in various industries for 6 years. While in this space in LA I catered to entertainment clients such as Paramount, Sony, and Disney to name a few in their tech sector.
I departed from the corporate world about three years ago and have gained experience in new areas such as assisting individuals with the day to day of their busy lives. I spent 2 years in the Food and Beverage Industry managing a restaurant in Manhattan Beach. With this position in addition to my management responsibilities I was the right hand to the owner. A day in the life of me would include daily errands from his to do list, authoring daily social media posts, coordinating and booking our nightly live entertainment as well as maintaining and organizing a weekly schedule for a staff of 16.
The restaurant life definitely became a 24/7 demand which, needless to say, did not afford me any time to focus on my personal goals so I parted ways last summer. Since then I've been working closely with a family I met through the restaurant assisting a hard at work couple with daily errands their busy schedules don't always permit the time for (grocery shopping, gift buying, booking reservations, dry clean pick up, etc) She is the LA Director for a well known magazine and her husband is in the political world. Besides the tasks listed above, I also help out with their 5 year old son. While working for this family I received referrals to provide pet/child/home care daily or overnight in my local area.
Presently I have begun studying for the CA RE exam and I'm seeking part time work to allow me time to concentrate on that. I look forward to connecting and ensuring that you can rest easy while you are away from your home!
