TRUSTED CARE WHEN YOU CAN'T BE THERE
Stu and I met over coffee 21 years ago, married a year later, and are now joyfully living an early retirement. We are both healthy active non-smokers, and keen home/pet sitters. We have owned and loved many pets ourselves so know how important it is to have safe, reliable and secure care for your beloved furry, feathered and finned family members! We aim to continue your pets’ routine while you are away, providing company and gentle assurance to ensure as little upset to them as possible.
We are relaxed and empathetic around older animals, treating them with the respect that geriatrics deserves, including patience, kindness and warmth. We are comfortable giving medicine when needed and would never hesitate arranging a visit to the vet if we felt it necessary.
We also have experience with farm animals, veggie gardens, ride-on mowers and pools!
Before hitting-the-road 3 years ago, we had lived in our own home for 16 years and have owned other properties, so truly understand the value of caring for, and respecting, another’s’ home and possessions.
In our working lives caring for the important things in others' lives had been an essential ingredient to our success - me as a nanny (both live-in and live-out) and a book keeper, and Stu as a commissioned sales agent.
We look upon home/pet sitting as an extraordinary privilege. Being invited into your home to care for that which you hold dear is an honour we regard with the utmost respect. We also see it as a win-win: looking after your home and pets gives us the opportunity to travel and have new experiences in our retirement. We have plenty of free time, generally leading a quiet life, comfortable in and enjoying each others' company, and are very happy home-bodies.
For over 10 years we have been (and where possible, continue to be) involved with community-based volunteering and have a number of personal references. We have a great love of travelling and are comfortable living in and visiting other places. Where possible, we are willing to visit your home so you and your pets may meet us before you decide. We have National Police Clearances and are able to supply house-sit referees.
