I am a single Senior (55+), who is finding it increasingly difficult to connect with a job / position where I am living at the present time.
I am a very organized and tidy-type person who loves to read, craft, and cook!
I have 3 sons, one of whom just graduated from Sacramento State and he, too, is having a difficult time trying to get into the job market (be it in his field of study, or otherwise).
I have thought about doing something like this for a couple of months, now, and now, I need to really consider if this is a viable direction in which to travel!
As I stated earlier, I am a very organized, tidy person, who does enjoy working, actually, and I have just recently completed coursework in Computerized Office Administration at a local Technical College. By going back to school, I though that I would have a better chance of securing a job / position with a company; unfortunately, this has not been the case!
I took some time off this past year, or so, to take care of, and to be with my ailing mother. She passed away in late January. With that being said, it is just me, really -Michael will get on his road soon enough! (I should mention, that we have two cats -both older, and both fixed, and completely non-destructive -they really tend to stay away from strangers; and they keep to themselves!) One was my mother's, and I do not have the heart to take them to the shelter -there really is no need to do so -they are like family! And where I will go, I hopefully can take them, too!)
What I am looking for is to be able to take care of someone's property for them, hopefully on a long-term basis, and be able to secure a part-time job, outside of the residence, if necessary.
I do not smoke; I do not do drugs (of any kind) -the most I take is ibuprofen or a benadryl when my allergies are acting up!; I do not drink anything stronger than a wine cooler -and that is on a very rare occasion, when I am home and know that I am not going anywhere the next day!
So...if you are looking for someone who does not socialize very much, does not have any (too) many bad habits, and who would be reliable to watch over your personal properties and belongings, please consider me!!!
I cook, I clean, I can even do landscaping and small property maintenance tasks!!! I've been on my own for over 20 years (and was on my own for 6 years before I was married for a length of time)!
